Downloading Equation Lists


MathCast can download equations from websites or from other MathCast users. Additionaly MathCast can expose the equation list that's being worked on over the Internet to be viewed by web browsers.


Downloading equations from a web page

To download all equations from a web page on the internet, from the Edit Screen, click on the File menu, and select “Download...”.

In the textbox, enter the URL of the web page, for example:
Please note that MathCast may not be compatible with all equations from other web pages.


Downloading equations from other MathCast users


To download an equation list from another working MathCast instance, from the Edit Screen, click on the File menu, and select “Download...”.

In the textbox, enter the IP of the computer you want to download from, for example: “192.168.131.1”. If the port number is different than 80, then you can specify the port after a colons sign, for example “192.168.131.1:8085”.

The MathCast on the other end must be set as a server. To enable this feature, enter the Settings window, check the “Enable HTTP Server” checkbox, and enter a port number for incomming connections.
