MathCast is an equation editor, an application that allows you to input mathematical equations. These equations can be used in written documents, webpages, and even databases. They could be rendered graphically to the screen, to picture files, or to MathML - today’s leading standard language for describing mathematics.

MathCast can be used freely by anyone: students can create equation sheets to help them in their studies, educators can write handouts or study guides, webmasters can add mathematics to their website, and the list goes on and on.

MathCast’s Edit Screen

MathCast’s powerful and friendly graphical interface is suited for rapid development of mathematical equations. A part of this interface is called The Rapid Mathline. This method is intuitive and effective. The Rapid Mathline supports an extensive set of mathematical operators, symbols, and functions.

MathCast is also an Equation List Manager, and is capable of organizing dozens of equations in a single list. This empowers you with the abilities to manage, modify, view, edit, and reedit all the mathematics of a project (be it a document, a webpage, or so on) all at the same session.

MathCast is an open source application. If you think you can help out, have a look at the developers page.
